Unfortunately, many of the schools today kill students' enthusiasm for learning. By the time they get to middle school, students' natural curiosity and excitement about learning has been murdered.
I don't necessarily blame the teachers for this--or even the schools. I just think it's a very difficult job.
The point of schools ought to be to ignite a fire for learning and equip students with the understanding of how to approach life so as to learn and think in the most effective ways.
The problem is obv the top down conformist primary education system.
It inhibits imagination, creativity, curiosity resulting in lesser applied intelligence.
The first solution is elimination of the DoE.
