That Gazer pier is a fascinating piece of serious dumbassness. From the start it was obviously built for “roll off” kind of use. No lifting equipment and not wide enough to lift/turn/and run. This morning I saw some news pics of it in action. An LST type ship had dropped its bow ramp on the seaward edge of it and a medium/heavy truck rolled off with a trailer load of bagged stuff.

No hull number visible but who has an LST/transport in the Mediterranean? And how do they get that truck back home? There’s no way anyone is going to back that empty truck up that long skinny dock to roll it back on. At the least that would mean the home port of the LST has room to roll the truck off backwards. Or are we just paying for the trucks to be left there? They most likely aren’t going to go to Egypt or Israel from that sandy beach? And it looked like the LST could only hold one truck/trailer at a time. That’s some way expensive UBER service.

On top of that the UN dicks claim they can’t unload the trucks already there. Natcherly they wouldn’t let the starvingaxx Palis unload them themselves. They’d all just rather bitch about a non-problem. How much did we pay for that dock——? 300 plus mill?

And I’d love to know how bleeping much money we’re paying those truckers to come into Gazer from the Egypt side? Maybe Lloyds of London is insuring them since they are all not making it back home?
