These 3 “Americans begging for their lives”...”CIA agents” look a lot to me like George Soros funded Antifa or “Kill the Jews” campus kritters getting what they asked asked for.
Get paid to show up in a country (city, campus) where you are not welcome, doing stupid stuff (like complaining, burning, chanting, general violent rabble rousing) and then getting your arse end handed to you.

These governent consequences you aptly speak of are a protective service, against NGO’s and any other official or non-official actors, who are posing as charities or virtuous Causes, but are actually inciting discontent or Colour Revolutions, for the purpose of Regime change.
