Smart move. We’ve been doing pretty much the same thing the past two years or so (actually, it started with my cancer diagnosis). Lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, and when we can, local beef.
I consider things like mayonnaise an “ingredient” so I buy blue plate, which is non-gmo supposedly. My only issue is that I do not entirely believe the labels.

I used to buy a kind of mayonnaise I trusted decades ago and when DH and I got married he told he hated mayonnaise. So when I make potato salad I use sour cream instead. I like it that way fine.
I’m still twitching... and I am very hopeful about the next few months.
