I have both, and when I need to do a lot of wood processing, it's the 18" gas chainsaw.

But when I just need to cut down a couple of smallish trees and delimb them, I go for my 14" Ryobi 40V Brushless.

I don't think I even got out my gas chainsaw last summer after getting the Ryobi. Reminds me that I should get it out this year and run it.

Dewalt here. It came with a 12” bar but a 14” Oregon bar bolted right up. It’s not for every job, but I use it a LOT.
