The statement would bother me too. Kudos to you for telling them about it. Maybe tell your local reps to look into the brainwashing that's happening in the jury pool.

And kudos to you for serving. I served in jury too, decades ago. It was a pain, but I'd rather have more of us who think with sense be on juries than it be only the chronic work avoiders.

Not that it mattered today, but I brought copies of the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution. I get a couple of dozen each year for my Congressional Rep.
