C*C = A*A + B*B Is That what they proved for a right triangle? That has only been known for 26 centuries. Even longer. The Egyptians used a 3 by 4 by 5 triangle to construct right angles.

Yes but using trigonometric methods. I think most of the 370+ methods in the book described above are geometric.

Apparently in 2009 it was solved using trigonometric methods, so no, it’s not groundbreaking.
