Tanks and columns of troops are massing in Moscow ahead of Russia's annual Victory Day - timed this year to coincide with Vladimir Putin's latest presidential inauguration after another election victory denounced as a 'sham'.
The despot is set for another six years in the Kremlin after emphatically and unsurprisingly winning March's presidential poll, with his new term formally beginning on Tuesday.

Denounced as a "sham" by who? Aidan Radnedge of The Daily Mail? Because when you do a search of the whole article for the word "sham," you find it mentioned four times, and that's only by Aidan Radnedge who wrote this article. They quoted no one, not one world official saying the election was a "sham." Radnedge is the only source for the term "sham."
At least Russia, unlike Ukraine hasn't felt the need to cancel their elections. The longer the Ukraine government continues this "sham" emergency, they can refuse to hold elections, and can milk the U.S. dry. You have to wonder why Zelensky and the Ukraine government don't want to give the people of Ukraine the opportunity to go to the polls, and decide for themselves who they want running their country.

Update on the conflict in Ukraine for May 5, 2024…
- Despite US arms package (along with packages from several European nations) Ukrainian defenses continue to crumble and Russian forces continue to gain ground;
- US-provided Ground Launched Small-Diameter Bombs (GLSDB) were meant to extend the range of HIMARS launched guided rockets from 70km to 150km, however, like GMLRS, GLSDBs have been rendered ineffective by Russian missile defenses and electronic warfare jamming;
- NATO and Ukrainian obsession with targeting Crimea and specifically the Crimean Bridge continues despite the strategic irrelevance of doing so;
- Ukrainian brigades continue to disintegrate, calls for building “additional brigades” which would take years are detached from reality;
- Meanwhile, Russia continues expanding military industrial production, increasing the gap between it and Ukraine’s Western backers compounding Ukraine’s strategic crisis;
- Western policy toward Ukraine at best reflects profound ignorance of how modern warfare and military industrial production actually work, at worst is cynically feeding all of Ukraine into a proxy war to maximize the cost of victory for Russia;
Many pro-Ukraine observers and foreign participants in Ukraine are now saying “Over by October.”
Too bad the Ukrainazis will never have that kind of celebration.
Also invigorating that Putin can mass troops and tanks in Moscow, while also massing troops and tanks to kick Ukrainazi butt on the front lines.
just like the 2020 fake election here in the good old US of A...except his was fairer.
The west will escalate NATO troop involvement far before then.
