It seems to be the religion of the mentally ill.

Communism is intellectual cotton candy for people with childish minds. It’s economic junk food. Easy sell to people who possess no discipline at all.

It’s been cleverly positioned as the alternative to “capitalism”, the young want to believe, the indoctrination is pounded into the young, and colleges allow a cocoon for endless generations of such young to become “faculty” who never outgrow the belief.

A failing in human nature. Some people want to believe we can have Utopia here on Earth. When they have to opportunity (i.e. power) to create it per their beliefs, they create hell. In the twentieth century it happened over and over and over at the cost of hundreds of millions of lives.

“The religion of the mentally ill.”

Yes. And that makes it common currency in the various settings in which the lunatics run the asylum. Modern academia being a foremost example.

Marxism is a rationalization of the will to power. It is intellectually incoherent, but neurotic, angry people often don’t care about that.

I sometimes wonder if this current leftist movement isn’t a cancer of sorts.

Started by the USSR infiltrating our government and universities with Marxist agents (as proven by the great McCarthy) they sowed the seeds or cancer cells.

Now even though the USSR has collapsed this disease has metastasized and became its own force here in the leading nation of the free world—or once was.

Considering human nature, totalitarianism is the default setting for mankind.

The promise of Something for Nothing. The oldest scam since the dawn of mankind. And it still sells today.

“From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.”
Karl Marx

On the surface, that concept sounds nice and neighborly. So much so that it seduces many naive people. But hidden within that statement is a fatal flaw.

Who gets to decide what you will give, and what you will get? It won’t be you. It will be some committee somewhere. That committee might be right down the street. Or it might be located many miles away, in some far-off city.

And you must obey. The committee might decide that you will “give” by working as a laborer in a mill. But maybe you want to be a dentist instead. No matter. You must obey. Obey, or be punished as an enemy of the people.

Not so nice and neighborly after all.

Communism promises an easier life than you can afford on your own. You don’t need to deal with your failings, when you can use society to lift you up.
