Some of the best tools I have are antique American ones I find on ebay (i.e. 1950s Craftsman SAE wrenches or a 1930s tap and die set in an oak case). But, Indian metric wrenches and Taiwanese torque wrenches are pretty good for weekend automotive tinkering.

I have a set of Amash MIT wrenches. The quality is terrible (makes the ones at Walmart look good). The MIT/Amash tools are Dollar General/Dollar Tree/Bodega quality.

Thanks! That’s useful information.
