That's your opinion. My dad and every male adult that i knew as a child had fought in the Pacific theater. Invading Japan would have caused some of them to die and never have a chance to start a family. How about you pick the ones that wont return? And that's my opinion.

I like listening to broadcasts from that era, in particular the ones right after VJ Day. The crowds celebrating in the streets will tell you everything you need to know as to whether or not it was the right thing to do.
