AUSTIN — Today, Texas Secretary of State Jane Nelson announced Texas has 17,948,242 million registered voters ahead of the March 5 primaries. The last day to register in time for the primary election was February 5.

“Nearly 18 million Texans are registered to vote, and my office and election officials across the state are working to make sure all Texas voters are ready to cast a ballot,” said Secretary Nelson.

Early voting for the primary elections begins Tuesday, February 20, and runs through March 1.

“Early voting is a convenient way to cast your ballot and avoid the rush of Election Day,” said Secretary Nelson. “Now is a good time to plan when you will vote and decide what form of photo ID you will bring to the polls.”

During early voting, Texans may cast a ballot at any polling location in their county of registration.

When casting a ballot in person, voters are required to show one of the following approved forms of photo ID:

Texas Driver License Texas Personal Identification Card Passport Texas Handgun License Military Identification Card Citizenship Certificate Texas Election Identification Card

Is the fix in?

The blatant collusion on between the DOJ and the Trump charges and trials and the fact that any contact with government agencies results in "guests" being registered to vote seems like they are stealing it in front of our faces.

Anyone else getting that feeling?

Early (in person) voting is different than mail in voting. If the article is correct, it looks like early in person voting requires id.

I wonder if and how many illegals will try to vote in Texas (and everywhere else) and how those attempts will be received?

"Early voting is a convenient way to cast your ballot and avoid the rush of Election Day..."

Not to mention that added value where you let all the make believe and dead people vote. Only racists want citizens to vote.

You think that 17.9 million is just unregistered citizens?

You think a number that BIG (pop of Texas is 30 million) doesn’t include any illegals?

Nice rant, but do you have any data showing how many illegals are voting in Texas?

The one that matters the most at the moment is the runoff to remove the rat mole who is the speaker of the Texas House.

Bothering to show up in person to vote is such a bore. We should just let the government do it for us like everything else.

In general, over the past few decades, Republicans choose to vote at the polls, because Republicans respect the right of responsible people who are lawful residents, and properly registered to vote.

In contrast, Democrats, leftists, communists, progressives, socialists, illegal aliens, and the petulant . . . “choose” to vote by mail-in ballot.
