> Good, even better would be that no non-meat product can use a meat name or any name that might cause confusion between real and fake product. <
Excellent suggestion. Enforce that registration in grocery stores, restaurants, etc. Anywhere where food is sold. Then let the consumer make an informed choice.
I’ll check that out, thanks!
Not registration in post #21. Regulation.
thank goodness. more good news from FL. hyper processed ‘foods’ are to be shunned. imho, bad for farmers, bad for eaters, bad for our kids.
I agree completely. There's too much deception in marketing to begin with.
When it comes to anything we put in our bodies, we deserve to know fully what it is. If someone decides to anyways, then that's on them.
This was a dumb bill, let the market decide

Yeah right- millions rushed to the deadly and ineffective Covid MRNA clot shots….” The MeatMarket ( US population) chose unwisely….Note: I don’t have a dog in this fight- I am a Pureblood…. But if they say anything is “ safe and effective “ now adays- it isn’t.
Interesting. Critical pressure is 1,070 psi at 87.8 F. Some heavy wall pressure vessels are required and heavy duty compressors. Sounds expensive.
Do you trust Biden’s FDA to prominently & clearly label lab-grown meat? I don’t. What’s the point of tossing an unnecessary lab procedure into what should be a fairly basic food operation?
Wow, holy crap. What a wonderful rack. What a sight for sore eyes.
Now do meat from animals that have received an mRNA vaccine and any bug products.
I have a unit in our lab. It’s heavy but the process is quite easy.
It’s the equipment that costs a lot of money.
Once you’ve set up the remaining cost is heated water and carbon dioxide, which isn’t expensive and there’s no chemical waste (until OSHA or the EPA regulates the daylights out of it, to save the Erf)
What doesn’t make sense? We don’t want lab-grown whatever it actually is here in Florida. It’s unnatural, and we have plenty of real cattle to feed people with. If another state wants to deal with such things, that’s up to them.
Where’s my damn beef?
If you want crickets, grasshoppers, roaches and worse for food, we know a certain amount is okayed and have been for years.
Otherwise, don’t go to Florida!
We won’t miss ya!
We no longer have a free market dear.
I’m not a fan of lab growing meat, but I’m not sure that the government should be interfering.
I love the taste of methyl chloride in the morning!
I’d vote for him in a minute. Too bad the leftists baited conservatives conservatives into taking him out of the running.
let the consumer make an informed choice?
Riiiiight! Up to the consumer.
They never say on packages what that extra red color is in any meat.
Real or fake?
Have you ever noticed some dark meat in with the red meat? I have.
Makes one wonder. Old in with the newer.
Also, I’ve noticed more foods don’t have dates or dates you can read.
I thought there was a law. Just my 2¢.
I don’t know if I agree with the idea of banning it or not, but the whole idea seems kind of creepy. The conspiracy theory that they’re trying to put farmers out of work because farming is “bad for climate change” doesn’t appear to be too far-fetched sometimes.
I have never seen or heard of a non meat product that wasn’t easily identifiable as non meat. Have you? The fact that it’s non meat is the main selling point of these products so I can’t imagine why they wouldn’t advertise as such.
