Asteroid Kamo'oalewa, the target of China's upcoming Tianwen-2 mission, likely was blasted from the Giordano Bruno crater on the far side of the moon, as seen here by NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter.NASA/Goddard/Arizona State University
China will land there and declare themselves first men on this moon. And the MSM will declare it the greatest event in human history.
Et tu Bruno?
Although its nearly impossible to get a hi-res non jpeg of the crater, there are a number of interesting structures to the right and left of the dark diamond shaped feature. Best I could find was 6000X1492pixels. Not nearly enough, but just enough to be tantalizing.
” is about half the size of the “London Eye” Ferris wheel”
