It wasn’t even migrants building those Boeing AC, and how did that go?
It’s been a while but the shipyard I used to work at did work on Navy combatants. If I remember correctly, only U.S. citizens could work on these vessels. We had (legal) foreign workers and had to make sure they were not assigned to these projects.
The 1986 amnesty for illegal aliens created an international counterfeit document industry to let illegal aliens satisfy the documentary requirements for amnesty. This ought to go pretty far toward counterfeit resumés to allow illegal aliens show they have the required skills.
Santayana.
Definition of insanity.
Once again, workers are not the US Navy’s problem: it is the lack of dry docks that have been closed down, so that the USN can’t meet the maintenance needs of the current fleet; much less build new ships.
And the 60 billion we sent to Ukraine could have been spent to remedy that, plus make up for the lack of amphibious lift needed after the loss of the Bonny Dick, plus develop a ship to provide cheaper intermediate fires in support of the Marine Corps.
But I digress.
.
“What we’ve got to do is open up the spigot a bit, basically, on legal immigration to allow blue-collar workers to come here … so they can actually work in our shipyards and be employed by the types of trades that are open to shipyard workers,”
About 90% of the shipbuilding in the world is done by China, South Korea and Japan respectively. You shouldn’t trust Chinese workers and why would workers from the other two want to move to the U.S.?
China’s shipbuilding compared to US shipbuilding is like comparing the Willis (Sears) Tower in Chicago to a grass hut.
More workers is not going to create more shipyards which is at the root of the problem.
I interviewed with GD in Bath Maine. They don’t pay for the skills they want.
Carlos del Toro.
The UnitedStates is now governed by women/ PeopleofColor/ nonWhite in EVERY position from VP to Police Chief/ Sheriff.
From pos traitor Myorkas, SecDef, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff, CNO Lisa, AF Charles Q. Brown etc ...
AND look at the idiotic arms length list of of girl ‘generals’ in the US military.
We are well and truly fck’d by the 19th amendment !
And that’s the problem. We want advanced ships for ancient prices. Gen Dyn has a shipyard near me that had to put together apprentice classes for nearly every kind of ship fitter and can’t fill the jobs.
President Joe Biden’s Navy secretary wants to import skilled blue-collar migrant.
No wonder so many Chinese are showing up nothing could go wrong huh.
