Hilariously, anytime an NFL player (probably applies to NBA too) is referenced in an article, it is always a STAR player no matter whether anyone’s ever heard of the guy or not.
Some rookie with a total of 8 NFL starts is not a “star”. The most notable thing he’s ever done up to now is to get shot at.
Another example: the liberal media always refers to ex-NFL sideline scrub Colin Allred as a “star”, because he’s a Democrat who is running for a high-profile office (U.S. Senate) and the media desperately hopes he will win & will do anything possible (no matter how subtle) to assist him.
Here’s a laughable sample headline from CNN (without a link to that garbage site):
“Colin Allred: Ex-NFL STAR Congressman bewildered by Jan 6 insurrection’s ‘rage and mob mentality’”
For the past 30+ years, Sanford's growth has been mainly fueled by undesirables. The demographic deterioration is not hard to track:
Sanford was never all that great to begin with, but Seminole County was overall a nice place once. Like Sanford, the county as a whole apparently absorbed too much garbage from Orange County and other places, a process which accelerated in the 1990s and reached a critical mass more recently (e.g. flipping and voting Democrat for President for the first time in over 70 years).
In terms of voter registrations, while the rest of the state shows a growing GOP percentage the opposite is now true in Seminole County. Sad to see.
You KNOW when someone is a ghetto gangbanger, when he becomes a millionaire, and still goes out clubbing with his posse’. First thing I did when I grew up, got out of school, was dump my rowdy friends. These people are better seen from the rear view mirror.
Sanford was the home of Treyvon Martin. It was also the first place I saw President Trump before he became President, October 2016. He had a rally at the Sanford airport and I drove up there by myself. Had never been to a political rally in my life but I drove 110 miles. One Way. I knew it would be historical. Period.
Colin Allred’s albatross is everyone knows he’d be Chuck Schumer’s lackey. Texans will not abide that. In the primary, Ted Cruz racked up 1.5 million votes, while the combined Democrat vote was 700K.
