One of these hit a few miles from my house.
Are you in Elkhorn?
Live near 172nd & Q, we were fine. Relatives at 174th & Fort area, also fine. Took my husband to airport for a 6 pm flight out, got there around 4:30 in light rain, took I80 east to 75 North. I came home on the north circle route, 680 to the west and south, ran into blinding rain, had to pull over under the Dodge overpass. There was a car in the northbound lanes facing southbound. All traffic going south was about 30 mph, until you just couldn’t see. I ended up getting off at Pacific to go west. Millard North was just letting out when I went by there, maybe around 5:30. Sometime in there, the airport was hit (in the general aviation area, not commerical flights terminal), and they all had to shelter. They were told flight would still go, at 6:31, then it was cancelled, so went back to the airport. LONG DAY but we are pretty lucky we had no damage. I have not heard of any fatalities.
Seems at least several areas of Elkhorn had lots of damage, Bennington most homes lost roofs, if not worse. I think some injuries near Blair. I expect the 10 pm local news will have much more info. At 6, they were still only reporting the (then) current ongoing warnings and sightings.
