Great song from a band that I thought at the time would make it big. The whole album was great.

There was a song on a 70s novelty album (mostly 50-60s songs) I had that sounded something like that. I thought it had a name like “March of the ghouls” or something but its not any of the ones with similar names on YouTube. The telephone ringing wasnt there and there was a jazzy guitar bit that sounded like something, many somethings, approached and passed by into the distance. I have to almost think that it was an inspiration even if they didnt remember it.
You’re right!
Sorry, my brain isn’t working as well as it used to.
I had a big Smiths and Morrissey collection back when dinosaurs roamed the Earth.
Thanks for the correction.
Crowded House
Had several hits. More in the Uk than here. And a lot more in their home countries of Australia and New Zealand.
I was just aware of their few hits but took a deep dive into their catalog (Only had 4 albums before they split + a few collections and rarities type things. Then they reunited without late member).
Some amazing pop stuff.
I liked Split Enz, too, where the Finn Brothers started.
Hothouse Flowers. Another fun and really good live band from that era.
I like their live shows on the Tube.
She had to shave her arm pits when she toured outside of Germany.
Now we’re on the right track.
That is a good one.
Here’s another “upbeat” song about Nuclear War. The music is upbeat but the lyrics are dark.

Just something fun.
When MTV first arrived on the scene there weren’t too many music videos. It seemed like if someone made a music video, no matter how awful, they’d play it!
