I Think Google is at it Again

Good afternoon folks

I titled my posting the way I did because, well, Google has done something to make internet browsing more difficult.

I don't know if this has happened to anyone else, but in my Windows 10 O/S, when I bring up anything Google related, such as my webmail, Youtube, Google Maps, etc, it asks me to re-input my username and password every time I close the browser and reopen it. I haven't changed a thing with my browser settings (that I'm aware of), so I'm wondering if Google has done something in the newer Chromium based web browsers to make this happen. Heck, it even happens in Chromium itself! Google also changed the way bookmarks are saved. Unless you make a change in the chrome://flags to a bookmarks settings, it automatically saves your bookmarks to the "All Bookmarks" location.

Now here's the kicker, and this is why I think it's something in the newer releases. If I go back to my Windows 7 O/S, I don't have those problems. That's why I think they've changed something in the newer Chromium based releases.

If you've seen these occurring, and know of a fix, can you post it here, but this post is for us to chat about these changes, and to yes, vent a little. For me, I'm going back to Windows 7 until these problems are remedied.

If it is as you say, I think it’s a security measure. Having your PC ‘remember’ your passwords is not a good idea. Using a password protected password manager on your phone is a better idea.

Sorry I haven't responded in a while. I got caught up in other matters. Regarding this issue, I still have the same problem. What's weird about it is that both Edge and Brave will remember my Google logins, but SlimJet and regular Chromium will not. So I have to assume that there is something being added to both Edge and Brave that SlimJet and Chromium don't. As for the information you requested, I got screenshots comparing Brave to SlimJet.

Let me know if you can view them, and what you think.

Thanks
