The entire prosecution of this war seems to be intentionally killing as many Palestinians as possible as well as destroying every building they can to make it unfeasible for any of them to return. It’s clearly ethnic cleansing. To pretend otherwise is ridiculous.
I am ridiculous then.
I believe that it is an attempt by Israel to continue to exist, to destroy the ability of Hamas to butcher, rape, kill & kidnap Israeli citizens. I believe the death of noncombatants results from Hamas hiding behind them and using them as shields.
The best evidence is that Hamas and their acts upon Israeli’s are approved and celebrated by over 85% of Palestinians. The chance that a Palestinian is involved with Hamas is high.
Israel’s attempt to remove Hamas from power would free the Palestinians from Hamas and allow them a better life.
Israel has provided jobs, medical care, water and aid to Palestinians for decades.
Israel withdrew from Gaza in Sept 2005 to attempt to have peace. Instead the slaughter continued culminating in Oct 2023, incidentally during a negotiated cease fire.
The blame for the war, the destruction and the deaths is squarely on Hamas.
