Almost all vasectomies can be reversed. However, this doesn't guarantee success in conceiving a child. Vasectomy reversal can be attempted even if several years have passed since the original vasectomy — but the longer it has been, the less likely it is that the reversal will work.
Vasectomy reversal rarely leads to serious complications.
Vasectomies are not risk-free, but the downsides are no picnic either: becoming a father when you may not want to be, or creating a life that will potentially be aborted.
The blame isn’t on the men - it’s equally on both partners. But at least on FR, the pro-life threads invariably neglect to mention that a man was even involved.
”Putting the blame on men is disingenuous since they are on the hook for child support while the female can just legally kill the unborn offspring at will”
If they don’t want to be on the hook for child support - then they either stay away from the booty - OR - use protection. That’s the whole point! It goes without saying that both partners need to take precautions. Women who are sexually active need to plan as well.
The woman has to support the child, so she is also ‘on the hook’ for the exact same thing that the man is.
The decision is not only up to the woman - “before she got pregnant and after.” You’re describing a scenario where the man has no responsibility at all.
That particular viewpoint is one of the reasons causing the frequency of abortions we have today: using it as a method of birth control. That’s on both partners.
In general, it’s men’s stronger sex drive that results in them pushing women into sex. And that’s just a fact of life. It happens and I’ve had more than enough guys try it on me. And I have other friends who had it done to them.
