I know a guy that is very wealthy (to me anyways - he probably made $1 million a year and retired early). He doesn’t spend it on anything lavish. Has one nice home and decent cars (he drives a 5-year old Lexus). He figured that one could have too much money and it would just add to one’s worries having to take care of the various homes, all the toys, etc.
Of course these ultra-rich in the article just pay somebody else to worry about those things.

...which reduces your life to managing staff. Personally, I would not enjoy that.
