The WORDS of Jesus:
“7 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?”
Matthew 7:1-3
It would behoove you to remember this, if you want to call yourself a follower of Christ.
Those verses from Matthew were situationally specific, said to the Pharisees regarding their hypocrisy at that moment in time, regarding their actions AT THAT MOMENT IN TIME. It did not pertain to general judgement. It wasn’t about judgement; it was about hypocrisy.
Taking a few words out of context is easy and cheap, but often not accurate.
Overall, Scripture condones, even commands, Christians to be judgemental.
“It would behoove you to remember this, if you want to call yourself a follower of Christ.” And it would behoove you not to say “behoove”; it’s pretentious.
I Cor. 2:15a “The spiritual person judges all things”
John 7:24b “but judge with righteous judgement.”
Lev. 19:16 “In righteousness, you should judge your neighbor. “
Do not give dogs what is holy; and do not throw your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under foot and turn to attack you.
So we are to make some judgments in life to determine who are the dogs and who are the swine. We are also warned in verses 15 and following to beware of false prophets and their bad trees, which shall be determined by their fruit
