Since cats first got their adorable claws into us about 9,500 years ago, humans have had a love affair with felines.
Today more than 80 million cats reside in U.S. homes, with an estimated three cats for every dog on the planet. (Watch a video about the secret lives of cats.) Yet there's still a lot we don't know about our feline friends—including what they think of their owners.

I have a one year-old tabby tom want to be I call Elliewhat because he is always snooping to learn something new or what is going on.
I had put a piece of duct tape on the inside of the cat door to position it properly to lock it and at breakfast time Elliewhat was tugging at the tape with his teeth to get the door open.
My little Tuxedo loves water. I hear him splashing water out of the bowl in the shop when I am working and have movies of him walking in a large puddle half way up his legs and pawing at things he sees on the bottom. This afternoon we just built flower beds and I had plenty of supervision.

No, I’m not reading any article that claims to know what animals are thinking. It’s ridiculous.

Cat's love me and always have. I've never met one that didn't warm up to me very quickly, in fact, usually almost immediately.

Once upon a time, I calculated how much it would cost to provide a state of the art animal shelter/neuter and spay center (like the one in Johnson City) for every county within the United States...the total was nowhere NEAR $61 billion.

“a state of the art animal shelter/neuter and spay center”
I didn’t even know JC had one until recently. I’ve been driving my rescues up to Bristol.
There’s probably a thousand better uses for that money, what a waste!

One of the nicest animal shelters you will ever see...check it out next time you are in Johnson City...make sure the ‘cat room’ is open.

I will, I’ve been volunteering at a bridge home but I could switch that. I have put in an application to be a foster at both the Washington and Sullivan County shelters.

Good for a laugh. Thanks.
All cats descend from a group whose spaceship crashed on earth eons ago. Without critical strategic resources they were not able to repair their ship or build another one and so became stranded here on erf. Communication by their species is mostly telepathic and they lack the proper vocal hardware for speech so they adopted their current means of communications with humans. Sadly, over the eons, they have devolved a lot and their history and technology is mostly lost in time.
And they swill champagne if offered.
