it is sort of funny to now look back at old black-and-white shows with a supposed “fat” man...

the fat man from old black-and-white shows wouldn’t even be considered fat by today’s standards.

I saw a similar picture of Coney Island from the 1960s and then present day.
The difference was EVERYONE in the present day picture was FAT.

The other major difference in most pictures today is that at least 1/3 of the people are looking at their smart phone.
Same story at any stop light in any city or suburb in the USA.
Look around you. Many people will be looking at their phones.

In my fifth and sixth grade classes (50s) We had ONE chubby kid, everyone else was skinny.

We had little or no fast food, soft drink sizes were smaller, and we didn’t drink sodas at meals-it was coffee, tea, milk or water.
