I sent my first contribution to Sen. Lee this week. It is so hard to discern true 'populist' D.C. politicians - and of course I never hear from Mike Lee, for whatever reason.
For a number of years I contributed to and supported Matt Gaetz, even in the face of sexual misconduct allegations (typical S0r0s ploy.) You may remember I was skeptical here on this thread, not about Gaetz going after Spkr. Kevin McCarthy but for the timing. What did Gaetz present us with? Mike Johnson, not just a clone of McC but rather a cyborg of the previous Spkr.
Now the GOP majority in the House is down to two and now Mike Johnson is pretty much turning over his chair to Hakeem Jeffries... rumors of more Republicans quitting the House before November. Of course a Dem controlled House would discard a Trump win in November. Sen. Chuck Schumer has already signaled the Dem intent to ignore the Constitution to favor the 'Rat Party needs (ignoring his Constitutional duty to try the Mayorkas crimes that have severely injured and even killed the American people.)
Lack of negative response to that atrocity will embolden a Dem House to discard a Trump election victory. The only positive to all of that is that perhaps the American people will finally wake up to the reality that they have lost their Republic in favor of a hard line totalitarian autocracy.
For this moment, I am inclined to indict Matt Gaetz as a provocateur, a facilitator of this collapse; he has certainly not admitted an error in judgment at this critical point.
I’ve been impressed with every issue Gaetz has flamed, either for or against, and their have been plenty of issues. He is easily a match to Trey Gowdy for intellect and force when issuing it. And, Matt is on our side, hangs out with Trump and knows who’s up to What.
Mike Johnson is another Jeff Sessions.. so holy and principled, he can not pull the trigger in the war zone.
I’m not convinced Gaetz could have suspected that dear, kind Mike would match Imelda Marcos for spending the bank on collecting shoes, and Mike for buying wars for Biden to launder.
Mike should have gone to seminary.
He’s wiping out Ukrainians and won’t peep out a syllable for Peace.
