We’re moving to a more conservative, small-town, Trump Country area around 75 miles away. This present place has been great, as long as I was still working. I’ve kinda given that up - tired of all the ‘wokeness’ there - and resigned from my last major gig. But am mainly moving there because my best friend did. Driving that distance to see each other every week or two is getting old (even faster than we are!) We used to be neighbors, but were only acquaintances and didn’t become close (sisters at heart, really) until after she moved, through a surreal series of events - definitely a “God thing”. Weird how life works sometimes (there are no coincidences...)
I’m hopeful that it will happen this year. We haven’t sold or bought anything just yet, though. I’ve been wanting to do this for a year and a half, always feeling a tinge of jealousy whenever reading posts here by people who have relocated or are in the process, thinking “When’s my turn?” So I’ve been steadily plugging away at sorting through my belongings and selling or donating ones I no longer need, but I finally got my DH on board with the idea just last month. I guess he finally figured that I was serious. 🤣
