I remember a discussion on campus in the late 70’s.
A Constitutional convention of states had merit, until the professor mentioned that a convention on the Constitution opens up the entire Constitution, and any man’s opposition will have equal weight, equal opportunity to serve their own interests, too, on any constitutional issue of their preference, and to perpetuate the practice, until the cows come home, and until future conventions wholly defile the Constitution.
Actually, it sounded like gang rape. Gave me the forever trembles, so I do preach against the idea and the terrible high risk consequences.
