It just struck me as odd that a current [?] admin intel person would say something so counter to the general western narrative of “Russians Evil”. More often than not they are quick to double and triple down on something the average non fly-catcher mouth person knows is bovine excrement right off the bat.

All I can think of is (a) there are still some decent/good people in the fedgov

They know Trump’s coming back and that he and Putin are not enemies.
