It's no longer a request, it is an "ask". No longer a budget, it's a "spend". No longer a tax, it's an "investment".
One of the weirdest things is, "I did it on accident ", and no longer "on purpose" or "by accident".
While we're at it, when did we start saying things like "It needs fixed", and no longer "it needs to be fixed"?
But God help you if you dare to point out the errors to people. Never seen such a bunch of hypersensitive spoiled brats in all my life.
Years ago when I was homeschooling my children, I read a couple of very A study was done (of course this was long ago) about the best method of teaching children proper grammar and writing.
1) Teaching the rules of grammar in detail
2) teaching the rules of grammar and reading good books
3) reading good books.
The most successful was reading good books; teaching rammar rules the worst. So that’s what I did with my children, as well as much reading alound. That’s how I learned grammar, tons of reading. Of course I now make mistakes or am slack but then, I’m not writing formal essays on FR!
