My grandma would go out to her apple cherry orchird on the coldest day in winter and bend and break branches. She’d wound the trees and slice up the bark with a machete in a certain pattern. Those trees would produce year after year. They were planted in the early 20s.
That ... is amazing.
Do you happen to have a pic of the pattern she would cut?
Damn she went straight up feral on her trees.
