I use protonmail. It is better than gmail in some respects.
yahoo
Whatever email service I use, it has to support POP3. I download my email from client servers to my PC. Unfortunately there aren’t too many of those left.
The good ones have end-to-end encryption...
The bad ones do not...
I have used ProtonMail and Calendar for years. The interface and functionality have improved over time.
I do pay a very modest annual fee for upgraded storage, (20G)
My primary concern was privacy and no Google.
Very happy!
What’s the opinion on Proton being owned by WEF?
How would gmail require these from people who are already users? The fast track tyranny makes me feel as though I can’t breathe....
i think it is more than just gmail- any site that requires a google account to sign in (Like google documents, google apps etc with will also be requiring face recognition too- just got a warning that now will require it-
I’ve been using Proton for years and I’m happy to pay the optional $5/month for its use. Their VPN product is also excellent although I’ve switched to AVG for its multi-product interaction.
They do, unfortunately. I myself received a "notification" from Gmail today. All about how gosh-darn CONVENIENT the use of biometric account confirmation will be, yada yada yada. What scares the feces outta me is the implication that, very soon, it will be FORCED on you. The concept of choice will be gone.
One thing I'm curious about regarding Proton is whether the recipient of a sent e-mail sees it in regular text, or encrypted. If so, how would they make the e-mail readable?
I have been on line since late 80’s...early 90’s...never once did I use my own identity. Never allow a camera (on your current screen to be uncovered/turn off any microphone access...yahoo is a go to spam filled abc outlet but you can use it easily and for free....never type what you would’nt say in person...oh ya F eeeslam (tagline below)
Did not know that. Might make peeps think twice. Is there a particular site you'd recommend, where a person could find out more?
But you’ll be doing something illegal when the C_A puts that kiddie porn in your email box. What then, smart guy?
Proton has no affiliation with the WEF whatsoever. We simply won an award given out by them to various startups once: https://t.co/SeNwOCh5De, and have since been featured on their website.—

I just assume that Gmail is wide open for alphabet agencies to read. If they go biometric, I’ll delete it.
No...another freeper suggested getting your own website
I like mailfence. It works with Thunderbird.
