My mother in laws neighbors were like that. It seemed like every time we were there one of them had a new car. I can’t imagine how upside down they were.
They’ve gotten more stable in the last few years. Nice people, friends even but they were economic illiterates.
I just bought my company car when I hit the mileage limit. 2 year old F-150 for $19,000. Was able to pay cash. I expect that I’ll own it for many years. I have another company F-150 that I can use for personal so while I didn’t need it I wanted to rig it for overland camping and can’t quite pull that off with the company car.
