Great post. That’s exactly what I told my wife. We watched both. The Master’s is an iconic sporting event, it gets its full time. The Billy Joel concert was a great special it should have got its full time. Two simple solutions; cut out a couple minutes of commercials over the time between the end of The Master’s and end of the concert, or just push back the local news by 5-10 minutes. I doubt anyone would have noticed either.
On the east coast, all the network had to do was put one of three 60 minutes segments in the can for a week, and they would have been back on schedule.
I haven’t watched 60 minutes in decades, but I can only assume that at least 1 of the 3 segments was a PDJT smear.
Blaming this on local stations isn’t exactly correct.
