I gotta agree with you. A RINO Republican is still better than any Democrat, if for no other reason than Senate confirmation of federal judges. That’s a big deal.
It’s also worth noting that today’s Democrats are not in the Truman/JFK mold. They’re all somewhere between Elizabeth Warren crazy and Bernie Sanders commie.
Kinda makes a RINO look acceptable by comparison. And I think an old saying applies here: “Perfect is the enemy of good.”

It’s the committees. You know. The chairmen. Guess which party gets to control them? Bring or not bring bills to the floor for a vote? Loser mentality is something the democrats don’t have.
Yep...A "Hogan" is probably the only chance in a blue quagmire like Maryland to get a senator's "no" vote on codifying Roe v Wade. Yeah, he's lousy on the second amendment etc., but a Rat would be worse.
