What Rush Hath Wrought

If you go to the official Rush Limbaugh website these days, what’s striking is both how sanitized an image of Limbaugh it projects and how much smaller this makes him seem. His eyes are in soft focus, with the slight glisten of a tear starting to form. The non-Rush pictures are of soldiers, children, and bright-eyed scholarship beneficiaries. You can’t even find links to his best-selling books like The Way Things Ought to Be and See, I Told You So. The featured product on sale, instead, is Radio’s Greatest of All Time, a po

I've got a writer here that didn't care for the man but acknowledged his talents. Good read.

I expect this to be deleted so cut and past quickly.

Ancient photo of Rush. Article not poorly written, but a bit condescending in not understanding “Rush is right”. Rather like a liberal in a safe zone that hasn’t been mugged yet, With all of the caused problems “over there somewhere and NIMBY”.

The lesson, learned from Rush, I most value is how to read government and leftist disinfo. Sadly, those FReepers who gulped from the scamdemic cup of lies and those at the Russia, Russia, Russia feeding trough missed those lessons.

The author missed the mark. Rush was a force because he spoke truth for us when we felt we had no voice. That’s why he is missed so today. Can you imagine McConnell, McCarthy, Johnson, Roberts actions today and the treatment they would get from 12 to 3?

Ya, the author is incapable of proving any of Rush’s theories wrong. He just didn’t like them.

It's amazing that Rush is still living rent free in the heads of some liberals.

#4: Evidence refutes liberalism. (2nd list of Rush's undeniable truths of life)

The lesson, learned from Rush, I most value is...

How to incorporate humor and entertainment into political commentary to make it so interesting that you engage tens of millions of listeners who might otherwise be the dreaded low info voter.

One of the greatest thing Rush did was point out the coordinated propaganda talking points of the so-called mainstream media. This is when I knew full well the media is nothing more than Democrat propaganda.

Sort of ironic that an essay that ends by declaring that we need to understand who Rush Limbaugh was, spends the entirety in a misunderstanding of who Rush truly was.

Rush's greatness was not his ability to reframe a liberal argument, as the author proposes. Rather, Rush's brilliance was that he was able to inject truth and common sense into the liberal attempt to blind people with misdirection and deceptive word play. Both of those liberal hallmarks have flourished on social media in Rush's absence, without a proper voice to counter them. That just shows how skillful and talented he was, no one can fill that void.

Funny I should see a post about Rush. I was just thinking this morning that the founding of the MAGA movement can actually be traced right back to El Rushbo. He lead the way, a long time ago.

Rush was foremost entertaining
Not many are right politically 80-90% and entertaining
And self deprecating in a way his detractors never understood

“We experience distress, and therefore the psychological need for the relief of that distress. We seek soothing. Rush was immensely soothing to his listeners.”

That is as far as I could get with this nonsense. Reminds me of H G Well’s characterization of Henry James’ writing style as “laboring like a hippopotamus trying to pick up a pea” and this writer was trying to make-believe he could ransack the mental inner workings of millions of people into the astonishing conclusion that all those millions were exactly alike.

Yep.

What +Rush did perfectly was to expose PROJECT MOCKINGBIRD for what it is, and how it has controlled the purposefully-ignorant American populace.

I read a lot farther, and "nonsense" is right.

Rush Limbaugh, one of my cousins, was simply who he was. His opinions resonated with a lot of people, and like DJT, he occasionally said things about himself that seriously irked the self righteous Godless brain falling liberal mind to the point that a hate no one could really explain formed in their spirit which they probably still carry around with them to this day. We should have thought up the Rush derangement syndrome back then. I cannot imagine what he would have thought by this time had he not passed, but where his spirit is now he has no need to worry about such things any longer and I am grateful for that. It really takes a lot out of a person whose eyes are not glazed over by Godlessness to see what is happening and not be able to do anything about it...and to watch those who might be able to do anything about it do little or nothing because they too are lost souls, more fearful of not getting re elected than they are fearful of where the Nation is, and is headed. Rush saw what was happening and what was on the way far sooner than most. And for those whose eyes are more open to it via their salvation in and through Jesus Christ, it is clearly a battle on earth between the spiritually dead to God who are unknowingly led by their “god” and his minions against everyone else. THE solution is Coming, let’s all pray He comes quickly.

Rush Limbaugh was that rare combination of Benjamin Franklin and Mark Twain that comes along only once in a century. He cannot be replaced, only imitated.

The day he died, I turned off my radio. I haven't turned it on since, and I doubt I will ever turn it on again.

I listened to the first “east coast” show on WABC, driving down I-81. “Who is this guy?” Well, we know who he was, now, a whole chapter of our lives later. When he played Klaus Nomie and said “If you’re driving pull over now..” I laughed so hard I had to stop at the rest area.

But the humor and irreverence aside, he knew America and its greatness. That is his legacy.

One of the greatest thing Rush did was point out the coordinated propaganda talking points of the so-called mainstream media.

I love reposting this video from 2021 that shows the coordinated proliferation of common media stories across the local media landscape.

This video is about global corruption (I didn't have the desire to watch the whole thing), but there is a 2 minute segment right at the beginning that really opened my eyes to how controlled the local media stations are.

Here is a link to a Rumble video, set to start at the relevant point in the video. Watch it to the 7:00 minute mark (the end of Brian Stelter's comment).

Two minutes to expose the control of local media affiliates: https://rumble.com/vmxjh8-the-whole-story-of-covid-and-our-world-affairs-right-now..html?start=296
