Don’t forget Epstein.
Maxwell.
Weinstein.
Ratner.
Schneider.
Etc.
The horror on that middle girl’s face.
Nothing says “bad touch” better than this. Those girls knew that something was very, very wrong.
“In its laudatory profiling of troubled Levine, Wikipedia consistently referred to him as “her” and “she.””
I have noticed more and more that, when writing about a particular person [one] person, the pronoun “they” is used instead of he, him, or her, etc. Except, of course, when a transgender is written about, and the “he” or “her” is carefully inserted.
I don’t know how English teachers teaching their little students about pronoun/antecedent agreement gets around this, or is not fired on the spot if taught.
I had to call a major insurance company we see advertised everyday, and when I asked to talk to a particular person, I was told that “they” were away from the desk.
So, now, in the not too distant future, when we freeze and starve in the dark, we will at least have correct progressive pronoun usage to comfort us.
