"It’s no great loss to the world," Fred Goldman told NBC News.

death of O.J. Simpson drew immediate reaction around the country on Thursday, renewing public interest in his era-defining 1995 murder trial — and reviving painful memories for the families who were close to the events.

Simpson was acquitted of murdering his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman, capping off what legal analysts described at the time as the "trial of the century."

Fred Goldman, Ron's father, told NBC News that the news of Simpson's death only further underscored his grief for his son, who was found stabbed to death outside Nicole's home in Los Angeles on June 12, 1994.

“Well, THIS is screwed up!”

The prosecution screwed up, some cops screwed up, it didn't help.

Just be thankful that you’ve (presumably) never had to deal with that yourself. You haven’t been in his shoes, so don’t judge him.

One does not “get over” the loss of a child. And in this particular case I give Goldman a pass. The fact he didn’t kill the lying cheating murderous SOB in the court room must have taken great restraint

The attorney's were drooling at getting on the team, they knew they would become famous and mega rich.

I can not imagine a father having his son butchered by an arrogant murderous celebrity not want to seek revenge in any way he could........I guess he restrained himself from actually killing the perp.....

The moment the verdict was announced, the manufacturing facility with over 1000 employees where I worked came to a complete standstill. You could have heard a pin drop.

I'll always remember the day of the murders when a certain set of women in my office loudly proclaimed that the bi*ch desrved it for cheatin on OJ.

Subsequently, they were absolutely sure he was as innocent as the pure, wind driven snow.

Fred Goldman always gave me the impression that his grief was for his son ( as opposed to his daughter) being killed.
Not “my child” but “my son” like Kim would not have mattered as much.

Forgiveness is the answer to keep from being bitter, but nobody “gets over” their child dying, especially the way his son died. You must not have any children.

I mark the OJ trial as the exact moment racial healing stopped in America.

That was the moment that I realized that I was looking at the world a great deal differently than many blacks look at it.

I have always felt that any deficiencies in my life were of my own making, or to a lesser extent, the neglect of my parents. Society never wronged me, as far as I could see. I was in charge of my own success or failure.

After the verdict, and the cheering behind it in spite of overwhelming physical evidence that O.J. was guilty, I saw that there were people who viewed society as an evil force, and that OJ's acquittal was a sort of make-up for that.

Racism exists, and it is sinister, but I doubt it is nearly as strong a force as some believe. There are a great many people out there who benefit from the cries of racism, rather than from racism itself. That's where the real evil lies. The racists are irrelevant.

I read that the Dream Team hired Dersh just so he would stop talking about the case on TV.

Sounds like a Johnnie Cochran move. These people are all dead now and have to face judgement. The Bible shows us this Judgement ....Daniel 7 and Revelation of course.

The Bible says the sleep until the resurrection and judgement. It’s coming
