Minnesota has always been a weird state politically. They were the only ones to vote for Mondale in 1984 for example.

But Trump would do well to do some campaigning there, especially in the Twin Cities area. The rest of Minnesota is almost all red.

Remember in 2016 when that entire upper Midwest was considered "fool's gold" for Republicans. But Trump ended up taking Michigan and Wisconsin.

Well, Mondale represented MN in the US Senate so that wasn’t a hard call to make.

I went to bed as soon as heard Trump had won Wisconsin in 2016. I figured if he had that, he had the whole thing.
