Sounds suspiciously close to the Alar scare.
My son once called the water in a place he lived in *pool water*.
He had gotten used to pure, fresh well water at a place he owned and when he switched jobs and had to mover, he rented in a town nearby that have city water.
Even in his new place, he doesn’t like to drink it. We have great well water so often take him several gallons for drinking.
Not sure I put much stock in their map, although the refineries and chemical plants around here have been dumping their crap in the river and into ditches for 50+ years, so it's anyone's guess how much has made it into the aquifer.

It is neutralized with Taquila.
Governmental climate change laws will kill you far sooner than anything toxic this side of fentanyl.
This is why we drink nothing but filtered water. Apparently the Berkey system filters out practically all PFAS chemicals.
