To some extent, our success was also our downfall. We were so capable of great things that we allowed ourselves to adopt socialism, thinking that we would succeed in creating a just society. Instead, it made children too expensive to have and removed the parents from the home and gave custody of our children to our governments.

1) a loss of faith in Christ
2) slaughtering each other's bravest and best in two wars that should never have been started.
