I have a friend in Austin who wrote how crazy it was there.
“btw...do you know how crazy it is here in Austin this weekend? We are having major issues with the hordes of ppl that have descended to watch the eclipse...schools are shut down for Monday and ppl are not going to work etc..it is madness. Ppl are paying homeowners to camp out in in their ranch land to watch it. As you know we are trying to buy a ranch and last week we went to go and look at one with 5 casitas on the property...and they were renting them out for 2k each per night...for this ...so just nuts.”
