That’s a bit hasty, isn’t it. You don’t even know the age of the aircraft. If this was one of the last 737-800’s delivered, it might have been poorly made (due to DEI).

No, it’s a maintenance issue. No matter when that aircraft was delivered, I assure you, SW crews have had that engine cover off and on. It’s on them.

I stand by my point. The most likely cause is usually the case. The last guy who worked on the engine did not latch the cowling properly.
