Airstream doors can be problematic. People have been known to be locked inside. The door is hinged such that it opens into the wind caused by the motion of the trailer being pulled by the tow vehicle. A wind gust could grab a partly opened door and fling it open.

We have a 2018 23’ Airstream and have had several problems with it due to poor engineering and workmanship. I'm handy so have been able to make the repairs. Think twice before buying an Airstream..

“Think twice before buying an Airstream.”

Very disappointing to hear that. My grandfather owned several Airstream back in the day. At the time they were wonderful well built trailers. Sad to hear that’s no longer true.

I have a 27fb. Legendary airstream quality isn’t. Neither is the engineering. Wally was a salesman only. Like towing an airplane or a beer can. That fragile and airplane repair difficulty and cost.
