I saw a couple of early Marilyn Monroe movies before she adopted the blonde, ditzy persona that made her famous. She was a pretty good actress, but that breathy style she later adopted never really appealed to me.

Me either- it just reeked of fakeness or attention seeking- -like you said, i liked her early movies as they were actually pretty good-
