If you got free housing along with that $55K (IIRC that happens a lot in the UAE) that would be quite good. And IIRC The UAE doesn't have an income tax. But technically you're required to pay tax to the IRS...and I don't know a way of getting around that.

Not $55,000 per year. No skilled job pays that little any more, does it? $55.00 per hour isn’t too bad I suppose, but you can get that just about anywhere too with the right skill set without going to Abu Dhabi.
