I usually use a shop towel and electrical tape. I’m sure there’s no harmful “forever” chemicals in those.

I most often use paper towel and duct tape. That sucka sticks forever and can stand up to the heavy abuse of my work day and then some.

E-tape is normally made from PVC, and PFAS 'contamination' is part of making PVC. So it almost certainly has PFAS in it.
Then stuff like plumber's tape (pipe-thread tape) is pretty much straight PFAS.
