Well, Golden Eagle, I am ahead of the game since I haven’t watched television as a rule since the mid-nineties.
I view it as a cancer. I cannot even be in the room when it is on.
I am still working my way through the Bible, and am attending a Christian men’s group, and I have plenty of people helping me in my life. It is me who has to take the right steps...
Thank you for the advice...:)
Good for you my friend. I firmly believe the television has been the number one factor in destroying the moral fabric of America. The amount of sinful behavior and evil thoughts pumped into our homes on a daily basis has been unbelievable. I haven’t completely turned it off yet but rarely watch it, and then only for the news, but even that has become evil anymore, with every channel regularly presenting lies of some sort. We are certainly living in a minefield of deceit, and must focus carefully on finding the truth, which rarely comes from anyone shown on TV, for any reason. They are almost all master manipulators.
I even had a youth minister who said to a few of us once that he believed if you saw someone on national TV, you could pretty much guarantee they had sold their soul to get there. I found that fairly outrageous at the time, but now I’m not so sure. Let’s hope not, but let’s not lower our guard either. Sounds like you must have figured out something similar long ago. Take care.
