...to keep up with AI-fueled chip demand

IMHO the AI thing is overhyped. I'm not saying it has no use or is going away. I'm saying the investing in it is overvalued and will soon come back to earth to AI's intrinsic value. Then the demand for quartz will go back to normal. At least, that's my humble opinion.

The design, production, and sales of advanced chips and platforms is/are skyrocketing. And it's not because investing in it is overvalued but because the demand for AI (in law, medicine, business, computers, science, etc.) is growing exponentially. In fact, Nvidia is using AI to design new chips and platforms.

If anything, investors don't understand what AI is and how profoundly it's going to change things.

“IMHO the AI thing is overhyped.”

I’m not yet seeing the “killer app” to drive this technology. Maybe there is, but it all seems a bit overhyped with people talking their book. JMHO

You are probably right. Currently AI gets its information from the internet.

So if someone publishes a research paper that is completely wrong then AI will cite it and thus be incorrect.
