The number is 750,000 and they didn't die to free slaves. They died to slap chains on people who tried to get away from the corrupt cesspool that is Washington DC.
The invaders were not the good guys, and they didn't invade to free slaves. They invaded to protect the wealth and incomes of the elite "robber baron" class of people who controlled Washington DC.
They invaded to keep the money flowing from the South to which the Northern elite had become accustomed.
Little known fact is that 60% of all slave produced income went into the pockets of the Northern wealthy class. Slavery accounted for 72% of the US government's revenues.
Okay-—back up as I’m trying to understand. I have a few questions if you don’t mind and thanks for your patience in advance:
-—What invaders?
-—You’re stating 750,000 people died to stop corruption or over reach of government and states rights?
-—You’re stating it had nothing to do with freeing slaves/imprisoned patriots?
